Meniere's Disease is a condition that affects the inner ear, leading to severe dizziness (vertigo), ringing in the ears (tinnitus), hearing loss, and a sense of fullness or congestion in the ear. Typically, Ménière’s disease impacts one ear. It can develop at any age, but it is more common in adults between 40 and 60 years old. Dizziness episodes may occur suddenly or follow a brief period of tinnitus or muffled hearing. Some individuals experience isolated dizziness attacks separated by long intervals, while others may have frequent attacks over a few days. In certain cases, Ménière’s disease can lead to extreme vertigo, causing individuals to lose their balance and fall, known as "drop attacks." A low-salt diet can be beneficial for managing Ménière’s disease symptoms.
